The Agricultural Museum
The Agricultural Museum is housed in
Vajdahunyad Castle
. It presents the various branches of Hungarian
agriculture: the breeding of domestic animals, the life
of the shepherds in the Hungarian Puszta and their
handicraft, horse-breeding, the skeleton of the world-famous
race-horse Kincsem, the fauna of the forests ,
the history of forestry, sylviculture. The hunting exhibition
presents the wildlife of Hungarian forests and
waters, and a rich collection of antlers. At the fishing
exhibition you can learn about old fishing implements
the fishes that live in Hungarian waters, and modern
fishing methods. There are also an interesting exhibition
of viticulture with a collection of wine-presses
and an exhibition on the mechanisation of agriculture.
